1. Who we are
Humble Maintenance Care (ABN 42 502 587 550) ("we", "us", "our") provides remedial waterproofing and property maintenance services through humblemaintenancecare.com.au. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
We collect the following personal information directly from you:
- Name, email address, phone number and property address
- Details about the issue you want assessed (type of damage, urgency)
- Photos and videos you upload for AI-assisted assessment
- Messages sent through our chat assistant or contact forms
- Payment and invoicing details when you become a customer
- Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and analytics
We only collect what is necessary to deliver our services.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide quotes
- Perform AI-assisted assessment of photos and videos you submit
- Schedule, deliver and invoice our services
- Communicate with you about your job, including updates and invoices
- Improve our services, website and AI assessment quality
- Comply with our legal obligations
We do not use your information for direct marketing and we will not contact you with promotional material unless you specifically ask us to.
4. AI assessment — photos and videos
Photos and videos you submit are sent to trusted third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI and Anthropic) solely to generate an assessment of your property issue. These providers are located in the United States.
We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through their published API data-handling commitments. Under those commitments, they do not use API customer data to train their public models.
Please do not include images containing personally identifying information about other people (faces, ID documents, etc.) unless strictly necessary. If you do, that information will be transmitted to those AI providers as part of the image.
5. How long we keep your information
- Customer contact details, job records and financial records: 7 years from the date of the transaction, in accordance with our tax and accounting obligations.
- Uploaded photos and videos: for the duration of the warranty period applicable to your job, and for up to 7 years where they support a warranty or dispute claim.
You may ask us to delete your uploaded photos, videos or other personal information at any time by contacting us (see Section 8). We will comply unless we are legally required to retain the information.
6. Who we share your information with
We may share your information with:
- Contractors and tradespeople engaged to carry out your job
- Our accounting platform (Xero) for quotes, invoices and financial records
- Our hosting, email and AI service providers who process information on our behalf
- Government, regulatory or law enforcement bodies where required by law
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our systems, and use of reputable hosting and database providers. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. Contact us at:

9. Cookies
